Our Spacious Bedrooms

At Cathay Care Home, we take pride in providing spacious yet cosy bedrooms for 41 residents. Each room is carefully designed with resident comfort as a top concern. Our purpose-built bedrooms are equipped with various amenities, including a profiling bed, comfortable seating, storage space, a private en-suite bathroom, central heating, a nurse call point for immediate assistance, and telephone points. We encourage residents to put their own stamp on their rooms, allowing them to create a space of tranquility that reflects their unique preferences and tastes. We also offer double bedrooms for couples to stay together.

Dining

Our chefs and kitchen staff take great care in preparing a diverse selection of nutritious, home-cooked meals sourced from local produce. We understand the importance of catering to individual preferences and dietary needs, and our meals are thoughtfully tailored to meet these requirements. Our menus are designed to incorporate our residents’ favorite dishes and are adapted to reflect the changing seasons. This ensures a pleasant culinary experience that resonates with the time of year. Our staff is on hand to assist residents with eating during meal times, to ensure food is eaten safely. We also have a café for residents and loved ones to catch up over tea and cake.

These gatherings provide the perfect opportunity for residents, including those with dementia to express themselves artistically and explore their passions. Our attentive staff is always there to offer guidance and support. We strive to cultivate an environment where residents can release their inner creativity and create pieces they are proud of. The artwork created can be displayed in their rooms or showcased throughout the home, adding a personal touch to the living spaces.

Activities Programme

At Cathay, our hair salon & nail bar offers a haven for residents to unwind and indulge in pampering sessions from our dedicated salon team. We provide an array of services, including haircuts, washes, nail treatments and hand massages, catering to all preferences and desires. Our salon staff is committed to fulfilling each resident’s requests with care and attention. Making sure our residents feel confident and content with their appearance is of utmost importance to us, and our hair salon & nail bar plays a significant role in enabling residents to look and feel their best.

Communal Lounges

We have a number of communal lounges including a conservatory for residents to use at their leisure and engage in a variety of activities, such as playing games with their fellow residents, using the large activity tablet, quietly reading a book or socialising with loved ones. Our lounges have been thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere for our residents. We take great joy in seeing residents utilising these communal spaces and partaking in activities and social events with like-minded individuals where wonderful memories can be made.
